Houghton Le Spring & Hetton
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Northumbria.
Area Commander C/Supt Mark Hall
‘As Area Commander for Southern I am committed to engaging with our local communities to ensure we understand their issues and priorities whilst targeting those individuals intent on negatively impacting on the quality of life of local residents. My officers are determined to protect the vulnerable and provide support to victims. It is imperative that we work with local residents and partner organisations to make Southern Area Command a safe place to live, work and visit. We will continue to develop innovative new ways of working to seek longer terms solutions to problems as evidenced by our investment in the SARA and HALO projects. We want our communities to have the confidence to report issues knowing they will receive a committed and professional service.’
