Today officers from Op Capio have managed to seize an electric Sur-ron motorcyle from the Ashington area. 

Many residents may have witnessed this motorcycle being ridden in a dangerous and antisocial manner throughout the town, with the riders wearing balaclavas to conceal their identity. 

Through CCTV footage and witness testimony, officers have been able to identify the vehicle and its storage location. Op Capio officers have today attended an address to seize the vehicle due to its links and involvement with criminal activity/offences within Ashington. 

Individuals who own and use these motorcycles for recreational purposes without the correct documentation or in the facilitation of criminal activity may think they have an advantage over police while out on the roads. However, members of the public are providing us with some invaluable information, meaning we are never far away from a door knock and taking away their expensive bike while looking for criminal prosecutions when these opportunities present. 

The team have achieved some fantastic results over the past three days with five vehicles being seized in total so far and are hoping to achieve more with certain nominals on their radar.
