Another Nuisance Off Our Streets - Off Road Motorcycle Seized!

Today Officers from Op Capio Northern Motorcycle Team have focused their attention on Cramlington and Ashington, resulting in one off road motorcycle being seized!

The team have recently received reports by concerned parents and teachers of a motorcycle being ridden dangerous and erratically at school closing time. The behaviour of this individual is not acceptable, putting young children and other members of the public at risk as it drives at speed along public footpaths and cycle ways. We worked closely with the local Police Neighbourhood Team and Council Anti-Social Behaviour Team. Unfortunately, the bike did not make an appearance today, we will however continue in our efforts to find this individual and take appropriate action.

The team then moved on to the Ashington area in the evening. There has been an increase of anti-social behaviour within the town centre where local youths are using motorcycles and e-scooters to cause havoc on local roads and amenities the general public use. This resulted in the team seizing an off road motorcycle.

If you have any information regarding these bikes please report this to us. This can be done through traditional channels as well as our social media accounts - where you can send us a private message.
