Hello from Berwick Neighbourhood Police Team.

I would like to give you a quick update regarding recent events in Wooler. 

On the 14/01/25 & 15/01/25 two suspicious cylinder objects were dug up at Scots Park, Weetwood Avenue/ Weetwood Road. These objects have been seized and removed by EOD; they have been declared as training bombs. 

On behalf of Northumbria Police, we would like to thank the Wooler community for their patience and understanding over the past few days. Also, a thank you to The Parish Council for their support throughout.
