Local Updates and Engagement Events

Good Evening,

I hope you all had a lovely festive period and are settling into the New year well 😊

I wanted to provide you with an update from the team as we dive into 2025, it’s hard to believe we are halfway through January already.

We intend to hold some ‘Pop up Police station’ events over the coming weeks where you can speak to an officer from the team to discuss any issues in your community and obtain crime prevention and safeguarding advice.

The first one is due to be held at the Library in Amble on Wednesday 22nd January between 1.30-4.30pm.

We are in the process of arranging similar events in areas such as Longhoughton, Alnwick and Rothbury, dates / locations to be confirmed.

We are working hard to keep our community safe. Your engagement is vital, any information you can provide us to assist in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour is welcomed and appreciated. This can be done through speaking to us face to face at these events or giving information anonymously through the link below. Every little helps!!

We executed a warrant in Amble just before Christmas which led to two persons being arrested following a quantity of drugs being seized.

The team have been to Sunderland this week to interview a male who was arrested after targeting one of Alnwick’s outdoor clothing stores. The male was charged with 6 offences and remanded in custody!!

We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events and I would like to reinforce that if you are affected by Antisocial Behaviour, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Reports can be made via the following link at Report | Northumbria Police and provide anonymous information via Crimestoppers at Giving information anonymously | Crimestoppers . We will do all that we can to deal with those responsible.

Thank you,

Sergeant Tracey Brown
