Evening Everyone,
I just wanted to share some positive results the team have had this last week: On Thursday we had a ‘Day of Action’ where we teamed up with our Traffic Department in order to tackle Vehicle anti-social behaviour. We had the camera van deployed from the road safety unit and volunteers from our local community speed watch out and about in the rural communities. Hopefully we were visible to you all!!
We made 2 arrests for driving whilst unfit through drink / drugs, 2 vehicles were uplifted for having no insurance, 8 drivers were reported for driving offences and have been referred into the criminal justice system and a speed awareness warning letter was issued.
The team travelled to Ashington to arrest a male who has been targeting supermarkets in the Amble area. He was arrested and charged with 7 offences and remanded in custody!!
We even managed to get to Durham to arrest a male in connection with a theft of mini digger. Following interview, he was released on bail so that further enquiries could be completed.
Beth and Hannah joined the NHS Melissa Bus in Lidl car park on Tuesday afternoon where they were on hand offering domestic abuse support and advice.
This afternoon we arrested a male who was wanted in connection with outstanding domestic related matters. He is currently in custody being dealt with by CID.
We are working hard to keep the community safe. If you are affected by Antisocial Behaviour, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Reports can be made via the following link Report antisocial behaviour | Northumbria Police and we will do all that we can to deal with those responsible.
Enjoy the rest of your week 😊
