Burglary and Vehicle Crime update - Cullercoats and Marden


Police are investigting a number of  burglaries and thefts from vehicle crimes in the Marden and Cullercoats area. 

Extra Police resources will be in the area during the hurs of drakeness with most offences occuring between 2300 - 0500 hours

Please be vigilant to these offences. 

 

■  Make sure that you remove valuable items from your vehicle when you get to your location.
■  Always check you have locked your vehicle by trying the door handle and the same for you household doors.
■  Vehicles used for business purposes, such as vans, are often targeted. Tools, machinery and other equipment should be removed when the vehicle is left in situ.
■  At home don't leave vehicle keys next to a door or window, thieves may sometimes break in to your house to steal keys, just to get your car.
■  Keep CCTV charged such as battery ring doorbells

■  Report any suspicious activity the the police

 

 

We are continuing to encouraging people to report such incidents to the Police and members of your neighbourhood policing team will be attending Ward Cllr.. drop in events to offer local residents support.
