Motorcycle Disorder Update / Community Engagement Event

The team from Northumbria Police Motorcycle Disorder Team were recently funded by Police and Crime Commissioner - Susan Dungworth, to conduct an operation around Motorcycle disorder in Southeast Northumberland (Ashington, Newbiggin, Bedlington, Cramlington, and Blyth)

This operation took place on the evenings of 23rd, 24th, and 25th of October and the team are pleased to report some positive results. One of the more notable of these being the seizure of an off-road motorcycle after 30 minutes of it being reported to Police for dangerous and carless driving in the Ashington area.  This was achieved through newly developed tactics and community intelligence.

Other motorcycles and vehicles were also seized for driving offences and anti-social use.

If you wish to discuss Motorcycle ASB then officers will be at Bedlington Community Centre on Tuesday 29th October 2024 from 10:30hrs – 12:30hrs.
