Good Afternoon Everyone, Just wanted to give a quick update around antisocial behaviour and associated crime in Alnwick. The team have been busy identifying and dealing with those committing such offences. Here are a few of the highlights:
The person responsible for smashing the windows at Handi Stationery was identified on CCTV and brought to the station for an interview.
We then identified someone in relation to the taking of an ATV from Alnwick Garden. They too were interviewed about the incident.
After both youths admitted committing the offences, they have been referred into the youth justice system. Suitable consequences will follow.
Antisocial behaviour notices have been issued in relation to motorcycle disorder. If the bikes are seen in similar circumstances again, we’ll be taking them for safe keeping…
A Community Protection Warning has also been issued in relation to a property generating ASB and causing distress to other residents.
If you are affected by Antisocial Behaviour, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Reports can be made via the following link Report antisocial behaviour | Northumbria Police and we will do all that we can to deal with those responsible.
The team will be running an Engagement Event on 9th October 9:30am - 3:30pm in Market Square, Alnwick. We'll be on hand to answer and help with questions or issues you might have, so please do pop down and have a chat. There are plans in place to run events in other areas so watch this space. Hope you're all having an enjoyable weekend. All the best, Inspector Thomas Ashley alnwick.npt@northumbria.police.uk |
