Dispersal Order - Bedlington Station

There was an incident of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) last night (18/09/24) in Bedlington Station. Police attended and 3x arrests were made.

A Dispersal Order will be in place from this evening for a period of 48hrs to prevent further ASB. A Dispersal Order enables Police Officers and PCSOs to direct a person who has engaged in, or is likely to engage in, ASB to leave a specified area and not to return for a period of 48 hours. A Dispersal Notice can be issued to anyone over 10 years of age. It is a criminal offence to remain in the area of exclusion or return to the area once a notice has been issued. Anyone found to be contravening a Dispersal Notice issued upon them may be liable to be arrested.

The area of Bedlington Station the Dispersal Order covers is as below:

Increased Police Patrols will be present in the area and reassurance visits will be made to residents and business premises from this afternoon.

Partnership liaison is ongoing.

Thank you.
