We are aware of reports in relation to a male acting in a suspicious matter within Morpeth Bus Station which has been circulated on some Morpeth related social media posts. 

We can confirm that this incident has been reported to the Police and we are investigating the circumstances to establish what has taken place. 

As a result, we would ask that people please refrain from making comment with reference to this matter and allow officers to complete their investigation. 

It is unfortunate but at times social media commentary can be detrimental to work that our officers are doing hence the above request.
