Alnwick Neighbourhood Team were handed back responsibility for the Amble area at the beginning of June 2024, which aligned to a new Police Inspector for the area coming into post (Inspector Ashley).

Responding to concerns from the community, on the 16th July 2024 officers from the Serious Violence Disruption Unit (SVDU) attended an address in Amble to execute a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Three people were arrested and released on Police bail, with a quantity of items seized from the address. This type of activity is carried out in direct response to information passed to Police.

If you know of drug dealing in your area and have current information in relation to those involved in supply of drugs in the Community, or suspect something is going on at an address - we would love to know about it.
