Today has seen the largest Operation Capio deployment take place in Gateshead East & Gateshead South in a joint operation between Gateshead Central and Gateshead East Neighbourhood Policing Teams to tackle motorcycle disorder around Birtley, Harlow Green, Beacon Lough East, Springwell, Wardley, and Felling. 

Tactics used today have included deploying the police drones, stingers, uniformed and plain clothed officers. 

A number of vehicle seizures have been made and footage from the drone will be shared on our social media channels in due course with the court outcomes.
