Good afternoon, I would like to draw your attention to a Public Consultation by Susan Dungworth; the Police & Crime Commissioner for Northumbria, which is in relation to the Police and Crime Plan within Northumbria for the next four years and will be used to inform a new Strategic document. Public consultation for Susan Dungworth’s Police and Crime Plan launched - Northumbria PCC (northumbria-pcc.gov.uk) Being the Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) responsible for the areas West of Alnwick I am keen to build on established working relationships, and ensure you have the opportunity to take part in the Survey as part of our valued rural community. From previous roles I have worked in I appreciate and understand the complexities Policing the rural areas present, where I can assure you that I am invested to make a difference in the rural areas by recovering stolen equipment taken from our rural communities, pursuing the offenders responsible and raising their profile with colleagues to be disrupted at every opportunity. Should you live or work in the rural area and have been either been concerned or impacted by Rural Crime - whether it has been Acquisitive Crime or Wildlife Crime, I cannot put enough emphasis on the point that you should be completing this survey. To ensure those that are hard to reach in the very rural areas are aware of the survey and have an opportunity to take part, if you have received this update and have access to community or work WhatsApp or social media groups, you may wish to share the survey in them to maximise those who can take part and complete the survey, to assist in raising the profile of Rural Crime and ensure it features where it should in the new Force Priorities. I would particularly like to canvas support from Farm and Estate owners to cascade this survey to their staff and tenants, alongside other community Stakeholders to do the same in making people aware of the survey. So if you can this weekend, please complete the survey and share it with friends and colleagues to raise the profile of Rural Crime and make your voices heard.
