๐Ÿ† Awards Presentation

Yesterday, PCSO McCallum of the Bedlington Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) was pleased to present our Mini Police Cadets at Meadowdale Academy with their certificates appraising the work they've done as part of the scheme.

They've greatly assisted the team with ongoing work concerning SpeedWatch patrols and engaging with the community to identify and tackle issues affecting the town. They each deserve a big โ€˜Well Done!โ€™

Volunteers like our Mini Police help us in our mission to keep Northumbria one of the safest places to live, work and visit.

Find out more about how you can get involved and give back to your community by visiting the Volunteering section of the force website here.

You may be a bit too old to be a Mini Police Cadet, but we have a number of other opportunities to volunteer, such as;

- Community SpeedWatch

- Rural Crime Volunteer

- Northumbria Victim and Witness Service (NVWS) Volunteer

- Wellbeing Dog Handler

- Memorial Garden Maintenance

- Role Play Volunteer

- Mini Police Programme Support

For those in High School, whilst applications are currently close, keep an eye on our Northumbria Police Cadet Scheme; information regarding the scheme for those interested as well as for parents and carers, can be found here
