Earlier this week, officers from the Bedlington Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) attended an address in Choppington in response to information passed to police that suspicious chemicals had been imported into the country. Upon entering the address, a quantity of Cannabis plants were found. The male occupant has been interviewed in relation to Cultivation of Cannabis and enquiries are being progressed. We rely on information from partner agencies and the wider public in order to tackle issues such as drug-related activity in our communities. We would urge members of the public to report any information concerning the production and dealing of drugs in their neighbourhood to police. This can be done by: making a report via the Force website here (Report antisocial behaviour | Northumbria Police ), calling ‘101’,visiting the Public Enquiry Desk at Bedlington Police Station, Shalksmuhle Road which is open daily 8am - 5pm (except Bank Holidays). |
