Last week, the Bedlington Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) took the Mini Police Cadets from Meadowdale Academy to the Force Stables to see the officers, staff and horses in the Mounted Section.

They just about managed to rein in their excitement seeing how our Mounted Section operate, what specialised roles there are within the Mounted Section and what it takes to look after our horses. They fielded a lot of questions to officers and got stuck in helping to groom and feed the horses.
