Recovery of stolen Motorbikes

On Monday 29th April Amble Neighbourhoods officers, Alnwick Response Officers and Northumberland County Council Housing Officers conducted a joint operation to locate stolen motorcycles/items in the Amble area.

On information received by the police a number of void garages were opened, and 2 stolen motorcycles were found inside these garages in the St Lawrence Avenue and Windsor Terrace area of Amble. This was further to another 2 stolen motorcycles being found in disused garages over the previous eight weeks.

Northumbria police will continue to work jointly with partner agencies to act on information with regards to criminal activity in the area.

However, there is still a need to be vigilant, making sure all garages/sheds are locked and secure and motorcycles are fitted with appropriate security systems such as locks and trackers when not in use.

Should you have any information regarding thefts/locations of stolen property this can be reported to police by calling 101 or via the online reporting system at Home | Northumbria Police

You can also report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers at Giving information | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org) or on 0800 555 111.
