To mark the final week of Ramadan, police officers and staff from across the Force including our Chief Constable Vanessa Jardine have participated in a ‘fast for a day’ to show support to our Muslim communities and colleagues.

Special acknowledgment to Dialogue Society for hosting an incredible Iftar (breaking of fast) event at Newcastle Cathedral and inviting us to share this moment. It was an excellent opportunity to network, engage in fun quizzes and to break bread. 

We hope those who have observed Ramadan this year have experienced a blessed and peaceful holy month. 

Next week families and friends will be celebrating Eid for all the patience maintained throughout the month, we hope you enjoy and stay safe!
