The Bedlington Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), with the assistance of our colleagues from the Ashington NPT and the Force's Dog Unit, executed a search warrant at a premises in the West Sleekburn area today in response to information passed to us from the community.

Whilst no drugs or other illicit substances were found, several offensive weapons and two air powered rifles were seized. Enquiries are ongoing.

We rely on information passed to us from our communities in order to obtain warrants to tackle drugs and anti-social behaviour. We will continue to target prolific offenders to make our communities a safer place.
