Neighbourhood Priority Update

Good Morning,

One of the Neighbourhood priorities I have set for the year is to tackle the issues regarding dug use and drug supply. Last week we executed 2 search warrants in relation to drugs supply in the Ashington and Lynemouth areas.

The warrant in Ashington resulted in male being arrested and charged for possession of Class A drugs. A cannabis farm was located in relation to the warrant we executed at Lynemouth.

We understand that drugs supply has a detrimental effect on the community and how this links to other criminal behaviour as well as vulnerable victims being targeted and exploited. Please help us make your neighbourhoods a safer place by reporting these issues, we are listening to your concerns and we will continue to take positive action.

You can make these reports by calling 101 or via our online reporting system at the "Tell Us Something" page of the Northumbria Police Website. You can also make these reports anonymously.

You can also report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Thanks,

Wayne
