Camping, Caravan and Motorhome Security

The post COVID staycation has encouraged more people to holiday in the United Kingdom to enjoy the outdoors either at a campsite or wild camping. With outdoor festivals in full swing and summer holidays less than 2 weeks away, the demand for campervans, mobile homes and caravans has increased, which could also lead to a rise in theft.

You can take some simple measures to keep your caravan or motorhome safe, whether you are parking at home or a campsite, travelling or stopping at the motorway services.

Newer models are likely to be more desirable to criminals’, but it does not mean that older models are not also at risk.

Theft of caravans and motorhomes are often by organised gangs so as we recommend using a combination of physical and technical security to keep your possessions safe, both at home and whilst travelling.

It is important to understand that no product can guarantee a unit will not be stolen. The aim is to deter a thief who prefers easier pickings or to slow down the more determined thief, or the one with a good toolbox containing large lever bars and disc cutters.

See the attached for more information in relation camping security, caravan and motorhome security.
