Motorbike disorder

Good Evening

I would like to provide a warm welcome to our new members. Thank you for signing up to Northumbria Connected.

Motorbike disorder

We are all aware of the dangers & nuisance off -road motorbikes bring to our communities.

The riders are placing the public & themselves at great risk. Sadly, too often we have to deal with serious injury of riders who have fallen from their road unworthy motorbikes.

For the past two weekends Ashington Neighbourhood Team, as part of "Operation Scrambler" have taken to the streets with a view to stopping any illegal off-road motorbikes. Whilst this type of Operation poses its own risks we are aware that this is an issue that causes you a great deal of concern.

Officers attended "hot-spot" areas and seized a quad bike from Newbiggin-By-The-Sea, an off -road bike from Newbiggin Rd, Ashington & issued several S59 warnings (vehicles used in annoyance).

We are determined to tackle this issue with the support from our public. We need your help with identifying addresses where these bikes are coming from. Information can be passed in the strictest of confidence either in response to this email, via 101 or online reporting via our website.

Kind regards
